I understand where you're coming from. I did actually make a very similar post on the Zabbix forum about 10 days ago. And according to the Zabbix Support link you linked to, they make this statement directly under the Zabbix Forum link "Note! All
forum posts are read by Zabbix Developers, no issues or development ideas are left unnoticed!"

Despite that declaration my post has zero replies. I started that thread on July 15.

At this point I'm simply hoping to find anyone with any knowledge or experience with this peculiarity because I am hoping to head off the possibility of receiving hundreds or thousands of text "conversations" from what is essentially one contact. As I stated
in my original post, I can easily delete multiple messages in a single "conversation" but these Zabbix text messages come in as separate conversations.

I'll see if I can bump my original posting on the Zabbix forums, but I am still looking anywhere for an answer ... BEFORE it becomes major irritant.

Also, it would seem that this isn't only a problem with Zabbix, as this thread seems to indicate that this "duplication" of conversations happens with "regular" contacts as well:

By "regular" I'm implying that my Zabbix issue is "irregular" and stems from the fact that there is no phone number associated with the Zabbix Text/SMS messages, just a random 4-digit number for each text that comes in.
