Windows 10: Zero key not working

So I was using my keyboard and suddenly the zero key was not registering on my pc. I thought I had a bad keyboard, but it was a new keyboard. I connected the keyboard in other devices, and it worked fine also the rgb on the zero key were fine too. I tried connecting different keyboard in my pc and zero key still was not registering. A day later the ctrl,alt and windows keys werent registering at all either. I looked for many solutions found only one effective one which was to delete the sancode file from this directory: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layo

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: You may check if the ALT key is functioning correctly in on-screen keyboard. It will help us to verify if there is any issue with the keyboard.

Follow the steps below to open On-screen Keyboard.

  Windows + Q, type OSK (on-screen keyboard)
  
• 
  And check if it works
  

Step 2: Run Hardware and device Troubleshooter.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your devices. Refer these steps:

  Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.

  Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.

  Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.

zero key on numeric pad is no longer working

Have had this Samsung laptop for 3 months. suddenly zero key doesn't work on numeric keyboard. it now just brings up a message in the upper left hand corner that says 'read aloud'. how do i disable that and get my zero key back!!!
