    I just received this message. When I saw the 1-855 number I knew it was a scam. It was interesting it locked the key board (?) so I shut down hard and rebooted all seems OK and I can see my files. I don't think I have caused a problem. I am using Defender and win firewall. As soon as I tried to use the snipping tool it froze the key board so I just used my camera. I have been looking for a tool to scan my system. There are a couple of free ones I guess a little reading and with luck, I will pick one. There are a lot of suggestions on this thread.

    I have a Zeus virus and a phone number 855-243-0192 for Microsoft . Is the number a good number or part of the virus.

    I just received a pop up window stating that the Zeus virus was detected on my computer the number is telling me to call is 855-243-0192 it's telling me that if I close this out that They will disable my computer. Is this legit from Microsoft or is this

    This is a scam and it normally doesnt download anything its just a web page so not a problem just scan with windows defended

    As Samuria said, it was probably just a web page pop-up. But if you want to scan AdwCleaner is a good one to start with.

    I thought it was just a pop-up because it has happened before but not with this one. I checked/reviewed some of the 'Free' scanners and they were fine until they wanted $$ to remove the problems! Most of their issues were false positives! Again thanks for your responses.

    Yes, there are lots of these so-called scanners out there - scams mostly.
    AdwCleaner is not one of them, it's regularly recommended on these boards.
