Windows 10: zip error

I am running Windows 10 and have started getting an error when trying to zip and unzip files. It says "Compressed (zipped) Folders Error. Unable to complete the operation. Access is denied." I am the Administrator of my computer. I saw someone commented on a previous post that the "zipper" may be bad. How do you fix that? I am just using the programing that came on the computer. Thanks in advance for the help.

He is using 7-Zip, not Zip. *Wtf :wtf:

Agreed. Try checking out your SMART logs to see if your drive really is failing. CrystalDiskInfo does a pretty good job reading SMART through USB and RAID on Windows.

 

.zip can't be set to File Explorer

  Type Default programs
  in the search bar and press enter
  
• 
  Click on choose default programs by file type
  
• 
  Select .zip
  and select File Explorer

7-Zip CRC Error

I had a similar issue, I was extracting directly from the USB drive and I got an error, I'm unsure if it was the Same error, but none the less an error.

I just moved the file to my desktop, and it Extracted just fine, which backs up (natr0n's) suggestion, Mine too turned out to be a Bad drive.(windows said it required repair)
