Windows 10: Zoom audio not working thru speakers

After a few months of not using Zoom, I tried yesterday It worked OK with my HyperX headset, but not with my Logi speaker set or SIIG cube portable speaker plugged into the front panel Green on my ASUS Prime B350 Plus mother board based PC with Windows 10.


Internet search revealed I'm not the only one who has encountered this problem. Reinstalling the drivers worked for some people, but not for me.


Has this been reported to the MS Community ?

However, please let us know:

• Is the issue specific to the Zoom app?
  
• Are you aware of any changes made to the computer prior to this issue?
  
• Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? Refer
  Which version of Windows operating system am I running?
  

I would suggest you to refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the Zoom article

Testing computer or device audio and see if that helps.



However, I would also suggest you to get in touch with the
Zoom support team for further assistance with the issue.

audio speakers is not working

Hi,

I'm Diego Rios, an Independent Advisor willing to help other Microsoft customers.

I suggest you to follow the troubleshooting methods listed below:

1, Try to run the Apps troubleshooter to fix issues that may prevent app from working properly in the link below:

Please try the following procedures:

1. Check your speaker settings:

Right-click the sound icon at the bottom right corner of your desktop and click Playback devices.

In the Playback tab, ensure there’s a green tick on Speakers. This indicates that your speakers are the default playback device.

If your Speakers are NOT already set as the default, this is doubtless your problem. To fix, just click them, click Set Default, then click OK and test whether you have sound.

If your Speakers are set as the default playback device, and you’re still not hearing any sound, you should to do this >> click Speakers then Properties >> Go to the Advanced tab, and in the Default Format section, select a different sample rate and bit depth,
then click Test. Repeat this process until you find a format that works, then click OK.

2, If the step above didn't work, I suggest to Uninstall your audio driver.

On your keyboard, press the Windows logo key and X (at the same time) to invoke the quick-access menu, then Click Device Manager.

In Device Manager, expand Sound, video and game controllers,

right-click on your sound card, and click Uninstall.

Restart your computer and check to see if the problem is resolved.

3. If these steps didn't fix the issue, I suggest to Up Date the driver from the manufacture web site.

bliuetooth earphone microphone wont work on zoom

i dont know under which category this question should go. please correct me if this is not the place.

have lenovo thinkpad t440 win 10 prof.

have purchased blue tooth handsfree device 1)samsung uflex 2)fingers musitalks

both work fine when connected to t440 and i can hear music playback from the laptop memory or youtube playback

but when i open zoom for video conference --the audio is not in the head set but thru laptop speaker only.

i tried possible setting suggested --on screen-- in the zoom app to select the headset but no change.
will this be due to some compatibility issues ?
