Windows 10: Zoom rooms app update by itself how do I stop it

I have windows 8.1 and an I3 laptop. I use zoom rooms for school . It keeps updating by itself, and my computer can't handle the latest version 5.8.7. The problem is that after some minutes it crashes my computer. It is ruining me. I want to stick with the 5.7.5 version because it works fine for my computer but every time I turn on my computer zoom automatically updates. I already disabled the option UPDATE AUTOMATICALLY on the pop window that appears after every update and is not working, Zoom keeps updating. Please I need help. Thank you so much in advance.

I understand that Zoom Room application is launching automatically on your PC. I will certainly try my best to assist you with the issue.



One of the things that you can try is disable the automatic startup of Zoom Room application and see if that helps.

1. Press Windows Logo key + R, to open Run dialog box.
2. Type shell:startup and click on OK.
3. Now look for Zoom, right click on it and click on Delete

ZOOM ROOM APPLICATION RESTARTS ON ITS OWN

I installed Zoom Room this morning and observed that the Application gets started automatically and takes over my screen.

When I tried to cancel or exit it requests an App Code which I don't have and as a result I can not exit Zoom Room and my screen is taken over by Zoom Room.

Even when I restart the PC, Zoom Room automatically restarts and takes over my screen and system.

I had to find a way to uninstall Zoom Room in order to be able to use my PC.

Removing the "rooms" feature

The alternative way to get to the content, is to use the apps already on your phone:

• Photos – You'll find your photos and videos in the OneDrive app in a folder with same name as the room.
  
• Calendar – Go to the Calendar app to see your room calendar.
• Notes – Your room notes are in the OneNote app, in a notebook with the same name as the room.
