    Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro - Using Windows 7 Pro Key


    I bought this new Dell laptop that came with Windows 10 home pre-installed. I have an old Windows 7 pro key(currently not used on any other machine) that I would like to use to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro. I get following error message:


    The last product key (ID: some number here) you entered can't be used on this Copy of Windows. (0x80072EE2).


    Could someone please help me with this?

    Clean Windows 10 (?PRO?) install

    I have bought a legit "Windows 10 Pro" key of a key website. It is legit since i'm currently using it for over a year now. I currently have Windows 10 Pro installed on my PC and I want to do a clean install. I just can't find the windows 10 Pro download in the tool. But if i could use a windows 10 pro key with a normal windows 10 install, I'll be good to go.

    I just did a deployment last night with a fresh 10 install using the newest ISO and a 7 Pro key, worked like a charm. Glad yours worked for you as well. *Toast :toast:

    As far as I am aware there is no Windows 10 Pro version.
    But I'd be happy to be wrong.
