Windows 10: Windows 10 updates

I have been using windows 10 for several years. About 18 months ago my computer went wrong. So i reset to manufactures setting which sent it back to windows 8.1. I was told what to do to reinstall back to wondows 10, through windows 10 media creation tool, which i did no problem.

then a few days ago i started having problems again, so i did what i did last time. When through the media creation tool, however this time it goes through the sequence untill it come to getting updates, then it starts going through this untill it get to 46% then still keeps saying checking for updates but moves no further it as been at 46% for 2 days now. What am I doing wrong?

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.
