Windows 10: Windows 10 cursor

I have an hp Windows 10(I dont know anything more specific about the type of laptop) and im having an issue where the cursor jumps to near the bottom right corner of the screen randomly. This can happen while i am currently using the cursor with the touchpad or sometimes if I just let the computer sit and dont touch it. Occasionally when the cursor jumps to this spot, it will move around sporadically as if it were spazzing out for a few seconds and then stop.


Most of the solutions to this issue that I have found are for Windows 8 and the specific steps to fix this issue dont apply to my computer. Is this an issue with the hardware that can be mended with troubleshooting or an update or will I need to seek professional assistance. Any help would be appreciated

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

cursor dissappeared

Thank you both for your prompt replies, I tried all steps listed, some I had tries previously but I still tried them again, but still no cursor.

Do you have any other suggestions?
