Windows 10: Windows 10 pro 1903 - deep sleep monitor wake problem

Hello,


After the windows 10 pro 1903 update in May I am having issues when my dell e7250 system goes to deep sleep.


System:

E7250

Intel HD Graphics 5500

Docking Station

Dell 2405FPW


I have an external monitor connected to the system through a dell docking station.


When the system goes into light sleep (Docking station power light flashes), the monitor comes back normally after you hit the docking station power switch.


However, when the system goes into deep sleep (Docking station power light off), the monitor does not come back after you hit the docking station power switch.


Did not have this issue before the 1903 upgrade.


Any suggestions welcome.

Deep Sleep Problems

I have an Inspiron 700m centrino mobile intel notebook running Fedora Core 8. I just came into possession of this computer and just installed FC. Two problems I am having that I can not explain follow. One, the computer seems to go to sleep when not being used and will not always wake up when the keyboard is pressed. However, sometimes it does wake up. Two, the wireless internet card does not pick up the wireless internet (my other notebooks, sitting right next to this one, pick up the internet just fine). Any suggestions on how to fix this or am I just dealing with an old computer?

Thank you for posting your reply. Apologize for the delay in response.

I suggest you to check which devices are configured to wake up the computer from sleep by following the steps below:

• Right click on Start icon and select Command Prompt (Admin).
• Type the command line below:

Powercfg /devicequery wake_armed

3. Check if the devices (Keyboard, Mouse, Ethernet cable) are listed.

If the system is not going to sleep and going to Hybernate, the only option to wake up is to press the Power button.

Windows 10 second monitor does not wake up after sleeping

When logging into windows 10 my second of two ASUS VS247H monitors does not wake (turn on). I've checked all the settings on the monitor, no deep sleep mode settings. I've updated my NVidia GeForce GTX 960 drivers. I've check all of the Win OS setting
for monitors. The Monitors run in extended mode, Monitor 2 and Monitor 1, left to right with Monitor 2 set as Primary, i.e. where my start menu and taskbar is displayed. Both monitors are the same brand and model, and swapping the cables makes no difference.
Re-seating the Graphics card makes no difference. I'm on Window 10 1703 version of OS.

After I login with monitors, the monitor's on/off light is amber color (no signal), the other monitor turns blue (on).

If I turn the monitor off and then back on, it works, light turns blue.
