    Hi there,


    I have recently built a new PC with the following components:


    Intel Core i7 9700K

    ASUS ROG Strix Z390-E

    NVIDIA RTX2080

    2x8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX

    Corsair H100i

    Samsung 970 EVO 500GB M.2 PCIe

    Corsair RM650X


    The build passes post and I can access BIOS with no issues. Within the BIOS all components appear correctly, apart from the fact that the M.2 drive does not appear as a bootable drive (it does however appear within the storage section as recognised).


    I purchased Windows 10 from Microsoft on the pre-installed USB drive. When I go to boot from the USB in most instance the computer then freezes up on the ASUS loading screen but occasionally the Windows installer setup will run but freezes at after a few moments.


    I have tried only using one stick of ram and replacing ram and fault persists. I have ran with and without graphics card and issue persists. I have installed the windows setup onto a fresh USB drive and tried to install however this didn't work either. CPU temp is idling around 28 degrees so don't think there is an issue there.


    I'm just wondering how I should proceed in further troubleshooting the matter, before irrationally sending components back to suppliers. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

    I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
