Discus and support Storage Drives not seen, how to get windows to set these into the system. in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; So I tried using the control panel to see if windows can detect my other storage Drives already in the computer.     Storage Drives not seen, how to get windows to set these into the system.


    So I tried using the control panel to see if windows can detect my other storage Drives already in the computer. Windows can not detect the other two hard disk drives. How can you get windows to set these drives into the current system?

    Hard Drive Storage

    Hi William,

    In Windows 10, you can change the default Save location for apps, documents, music, picture and video files to another drive or partition. You can follow the steps below to change the default Save location:

    • If your Windows 10 version is 1703 and later, go to Start Menu
      > Settings > System settings
      > Storage> Change where new content is saved.

    • Otherwise, go to Start Menu > Settings
      > System settings > Storage.

    Hi Stuart,

    Thank you for using Windows 10.

    I understand your concern and will assist you in troubleshooting the issue. The issue might have occurred due to incorrect hardware or software configuration or corrupt system files.

    I suggest you to check with any other system if the drive gets recognized or not. If it gets, then I would
    suggest you to perform chkdsk and see if that helps.

    Chkdsk is a system tool which verifies the file system integrity and fixes system errors. Here is the steps:


    • Press Windows+X.

    • Click on Command Prompt (Admin).

    • Type the command Chkdsk /f/r.

    • Hit Enter.
