Windows 10: Windows Security not showing anything at all

So i dont know what is going on, but it seems that somehow Windows Defender has been disabled entirely.


Already checked registries, settings, runned malwareby and found some issues (some Trojan.FakeMS, PUM.Optional.DisableSecurityCenter and some Backdoor.Agent) and runned the Windows Update Troubleshooter but nothing seems to work.. Also found an DisableAntiSpyware on the HLM/SW/Policies/Microsoft/Windows Defender panel with a value of 1 which i know disables Windows Defender from Registry, this makes me beleave i was hacked..

Please, i feel very unprotected, last time i remembered having access to Windows Defender is August 10 (My wife disabled Windows Firewall since Citrix VPN is somehow making Windows Firewall block Remote Desktop, i remembered re-enabling firewall). Also might be related but windows update is showing error 0x80080005, last time i remembered updating my computer was in August, 15.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

SonicWall is a good security product, so Mindweaver's suggestion sounds like a good one and should make for a rather bigger baby step. Let's hope they take it.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
