Windows 10: My files don't go in the recycle bin and gets deleted instantly???

Hi Community.



So i noticed that when i delete files they don't go in the recycle bin and just gets deleted, The strange thing is that i have not messed with any settings myself that could make this occur.


When i open the recycle bin under properties, All the options is greyed out (Except for display delete confirmation option) and it's set to "Don't move files to the recycle bin, Remove files immediately when deleted" And i can't change it because both options are greyed out????.


I tried to run a restore command "rd /s /q C:$Recycle.bin" on CMD as an administrator, But that did not solve anything (i also restarted my pc).


I also tried to look in the windows registry.


In HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer i couldn't find "policies"


In HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer i found the policy/Explorer section, But there was no key named "NoRecycleFiles" to be found there?????


Lastly i also tried group policy editor to see if there were any settings for the recycle bin but only found an option to hide/unhide the bin.


I could really use some help on this as it seems pretty strange.

To prevent your files from being deleted from the Recycle Bin, we suggest increasing the maximum file size your Recycle Bin can keep by following the steps below:

• Right click on the Recycle Bin icon.
• Under the Settings for selected location, select Custom size.
• Fill up the box for your allotted maximum file size for your Recycle Bin.

Recycle Bin problem in Windows10

I can move files to Recycle Bin but I can't move folders to recycle bin windows 10. why?

When I try to do that, explorer crashing and folder still isn`t deleted. But when I check "Don`t move files to the Reycle Bin. Remove files immediatly when deleted" in Recycle Bion properties, then I can delete folder but explorer still crashing.

• Confirm which build is currently installed on your device. To check, follow the steps below:

1. Press Windows key + R, then type in winver.
2. Click OK.

• Does the bypass issue with Recycle Bin also happens to other type of files?

Upon further researching, the Recycle Bin could possibly be corrupted. You can reset the Recycle Bin by performing the steps below:

1. Click on Start, search for Command Prompt and right-click on it and select
Run as administrator.

2. In the Command Prompt window, type and enter the command below:

rd /s /q C:$Recycle.bin

In addition, holding the Shift key while deleting a file can also cause the file to be erased without it going in the Recycle Bin first.
