  1. UFO framerate test not hitting 60 on ext monitors (when internal off)

My laptop has a 144Hz panel. When I run UFO Test: Framerates on my laptop screen, I get 144 fps.

When I plug it into my 1080p 60Hz monitor or my 4K TV, I am only getting ~45fps instead of 60.

For the monitor, I have tried plugging directly into my computers HDMI port as well as the HDMI port on my 5-in-1 Anker dongle and through my CableCreation DVI/VGA/HDMI dongle. For the TV, I have only tried plugging directly into the computer.

When I plug in through Thunderbolt 3 port, I get the 60fps to work. When I plug in through by regular USB-C port or through my native HDMI port, I get ~45.

This only happens when my laptop's built-in display is disabled. If I enable it, 60fps works like normal

    What is going wrong?

My GPU is an RTX 2070 MaxQ. Latest nVidia driver.

    :)

    Issues Setting/Overclocking Monitor Refresh Rates

I'm having issues keeping my custom overclocked monitor refresh rates to stick. I run 96hz on my monitor fine in Windows 7 and 8. The issue is Nvidia Control Panel and Windows are saying my monitor is running at a custom 96hz. Unforunately UFO Test: <div id="title">Multiple Framerates</div> is saying otherwise. It's weird because Edge says I am running at 96 FPS on that UFO test, while Firefox is saying I'm running at 60 FPS. I don't see how they can be reporting 2 different things.

The odd thing is that sometimes after a restart the custom refresh rate will stick. Other times I lose it and it goes back to 60hz. I wonder if this is a NVidia control panel issue. I tried using Custom Refresh Utility but no dice either. Thanks.

UFO framerate test not hitting 60 on ext monitors (when internal off)

Overclocking / Undervolting guide for Vega 56 or 64?

    Here's a quick laundry list:

List of software to use for overclocking and testing
    Examples:
Wattman (and how to find and use it, like an overview, including profiles)
Unigine Valley or Heaven (use this for quick testing while changing settings in Wattman and checking for stability / artifacts) ...just suggesting this
How to monitor cores / mem speeds and temps during testing (I've seen screen overlays, and others using GPUz)

    Step-by step overclocking in Wattman
    Fan speeds
    Power limit
    Temp limit
    Voltages
    Core speeds
    Memory speeds
