Windows 10: Windows 10 Reactivation

Discus and support Windows 10 Reactivation in Windows 10 Updates and Activation to solve the problem; Due to a hardware failure I have replaced my Motherboard, CPU and RAM.     Windows 10 Reactivation


    Due to a hardware failure I have replaced my Motherboard, CPU and RAM. My Windows now shows as not activated. I don't hjave a product key as I upgraded to Windows 10 as part of the free upgrade from 7. I've followed the procedures in settings, gone through troubleshoot, that identified the PC I was on, I selected that the activation was for this device but when I try to activate it it says "Cannot activate this device, please try later".


    Do you think that message just means that there are problems at the Microsoft end and I just need to wait a bit. This is the second day of trying to resolve this and it's getting to be like groundhog day.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
