Taskbar obscuring bottom of application window across all my Win10 PC`

I`m experiencing some odd behavior on the task bar which I`m trying to work out if its an issue introduced by a windows update, or my own behavior.

The task bar is obscuring the bottom of my full screen application windows. I`ve fiddled with the task bar settings, and I cannot return to a consistent behavior, which allows a maximised window to sit "on top" of the task bar - full screen application windows seem to want to "sit behind" the task bar meaning that the bottom portion of the window is hidden behind the task bar.

I`m seeing this across all my Win10 PC`s - and that makes me think that either I`m syncing these settings across or its common UI bug.

Could someone point out what settings should be applied to force windows to sit on top of the task bar?

    :)

  2. How can I stop taskbar obscuring full screen applications?

    Hello,

One of the possible reasons why you are unable click the taskbar when you're trying to access an application is due to a corrupted profile or operating system. To better assist you, kindly answer these questions:

    • Have you made any recent hardware or software changes to your computer?
    • Did the issue occur when you normally access the computer without using the Remote Desktop Connection?
    • Just to clarify, are you using Windows Insider Program as your operating system?
Meanwhile, you may follow these steps:

    • Perform a clean boot. It helps eliminate software conflicts. You may refer to this

      link
      .
    • Start your PC in
      safe mode
in Windows 10. Safe mode determines whether it's a basic setting or a driver that's causing the issue.

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

    When in win10:
    • Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....
Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
    - Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

Windows 10 Taskbar sometimes on top of full-screen applications

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to change the Screen Resolution and check if this helps. Follow the steps below to do the same:

    • Press ‘Windows ’ key on the keyboard.
    • In the search box, type Settings
    • SelectSystem > Display > Advanced display settings.
    • Under Resolution, select a new value. We suggest you stick with the resolution marked
      "(Recommended)”.
Also try locking and then unlocking the Taskbar and check if this helps. Follow the steps below:

    • Right-click an empty space on the taskbar.
    • If Lock the Taskbar has a check mark next to it, the taskbar is locked.
    • If it does not have a check mark, click Lock the Taskbar.
Hope this information was helpful and do let us know if you need further assistance. We will be glad to assist.
