Keep Getting Display Driver Fail To Start Message

I just recently upgraded to Windows 10, from my old Windows 7. It use to be that I could get up and leave my computer on, and I would not have any problems with that. Now that I have upgraded, if I walk away from my computer, after awhile I get a total black screen, and if I go to click on it, nothing happens, and I have to reboot every time. I keep getting a message on the side that says "Display driver failed to start; using Microsoft Basic Display Driver instead. Check Windows Update for newer display driver." Well, I have done all of that, and I have even gone into Device Manager & updated the Display adapters & Monitor, as well.

Sometimes the screen goes into a weird Windows 7 or maybe XP look...everything gets huge on the screen...my fonts, taskbar, everything!

I need to know how to fix this, because I run a online group, and I need my computer working right.

    :)

  2. Display driver failed to start

I have Windows 10 home and running programs on IE 11. All begins fine for several hours. About midday my system crashes to safe mode and message appears that "Display driver failed to start: Using Microsoft basic display driver instead. Check windows update
    for a newer display driver."

I do this under settings but it shows my system is up to date. Where can I get a newer display driver if this is the issue?
