  1. Sound Blaster Playback Device Choice connecting sound card to AV Recei

In Windows Sound Playback device settings, what is the difference between "Speakers (Soundblaster ZXR)" and "Digital Audio (S/PDIF) (Soundblaster ZXR DBPro"? I assume the first choice is for analog speakers and second is for digital speakers, right? I ask because I am running sound from a ZXR to Denon Receiver/DefTek ProMedia analog speakers though an optical cable. I have everything setup correctly and get sound when the Speakers Playback option is selected but not through Digital Audio. I thought that the receiver converted analog signal to digital signal. How do I setup my receiver/speakers/sound card to get digital sound?

    :)
