Windows 10: VLC rotated videos appearing un-rotated in OneDrive

Hi

I've taken a bunch of videos with my GoPro. Unfortunately, despite the GoPro being set to automatically rotate the footage as the camera rotates a couple of clips have come out sideways.


So, I'm having to rotate them in a VLC media player.


Which is proving tricky.


Anyway, I've successfully rotated and saved some of them and dragged them into OneDrive and they play just fine.


However, a couple are being stubborn. Despite playing locally the right way locally on my computer, after being dragged into OneDrive they appear 'unrotated'. i.e sideways.


Is this an issue with VLC or OneDrive. If only OneDrive had a rotate video feature!

I opened a video with VLC but it plays the video right away and I cannot find an option to rotate the video because there is no tab showing menu or options to do anything

Hi Bluestar4130,

Start to play the video in VLC Player

Press Ctrl + E

Click on the 'Video Effects' tab

Click 'Geometry'

From there you should be able to rotate that video
