Did an mbr2gpt - I'm Confused by the Results - Request Review

    (Windows v1809 Build 17763.864)

Not sure which forum to post this in, so followed recommendation to put it in the General one and a Mod will move it if needed.

I was using a Samsung 850 Pro 512GB SSD as my Windows 10 Pro boot disk. It was reporting MBR\Legacy BIOS. I bought 2 new Samsung M.2 NVMe 2TB's and installed them no problem. I decided to convert the boot disk to UEFI (for now, before making one of the new M.2's the new OS drive) and ran the mbr2gpt process from my desktop. Both the Validation and the Convert processing completed with no reported errors. However, it took several reboot attempts to get back into the BIOS to change the UEFI Hardware setting. The F2 and Delete keys wouldn't stop the computer from booting the first several times. Eventually, after several reboot attempts, it did let me go to the BIOS and I made the appropriate settings changes. The disk now indicates UEFI along with the overall booting process now (see attachments below). The computer boots fine now.

But I'm confused by some of what I'm seeing now in the 3 pictures below. Would appreciate any clarification about it (and if everything DOES look the way it should).

Picture 1: Shows Bios Mode as UEFI instead of Legacy now (good). But I'm not sure what the "HarddiskVolume4" for the Boot Device means (is that OK?).

Picture 2: Disk 0 now has 4 partitions. The "C" and "EFI System" ones seem to make sense. But what is the "OEM" one? And why did I end up with a whole new "H" drive (I never had an "H" drive before the conversion).

Picture 3: The new "H" drive in my Explorer list of drives (was never there before). I'm totally confused by this and what it is and what I should do (if anything) with it.

I'm assuming the conversion worked correctly, but would like a second opinion. And a bit of education on the things in the above pictures I don't understand right now. Thanks for any help in understanding it better (before I try to make one of the M.2's my new OS drive...I plan on using my Acronis for that).

    :)

a request for device descriptor request failed

Maybe it's time to step back from the current efforts, and start over. I suggest you read over this excellent tutorial and try all of its steps: [Solved] Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed) for Windows 10 - Driver Easy. The one that may provide you with some easy relief is the one where you uninstall the device whose descriptor is failing, reboot, and see what happens when device enumeration recurs during boot-up. If you're lucky, it will fix itself.

    mbr2gpt

Your computer is already booting in UEFI mode which means the drive is probably already in GPT format. What makes you think it isn't?

What does diskpart, list disk show?
