Windows 10: Another failed Windows 10 update thread - Error code 0xc1420121

Hello all,

I've already gone through some other threads for this error code but haven't had any luck yet. I've tried using the troubleshooter, trying to upgrade through the installation media, using the Update Assistant, deleting files in the SystemDistribution folder and running various command prompt commands, etc etc.


After what I've tried, I figure it might be a specific issue with how my PC is setup e.g., configuration, programs, etc; I'm sure there are many variables that could affect this, so figured I'd ask the community.

I'm hoping someone more knowledgable than I can make some sense of some logs I pulled from the latest failed update; I don't know what's useful and what's not. Not sure if the log contains any information that could put my computer at risk by posting it on the web.


I'd be grateful for any help.


PC specs:

- Dell Inspiron 13-7353

- Intel Core i7-6500U, 2.5GHz x64

- 8 GB RAM

I just want this one simple question answered because I can't find it in any Internet searches.

What is Windows 10 Update Error Code 0xc1420121?

Maybe if I knew I could finally upgrade my machine from Insider build 18908.

Please don't respond with "try these ten thousand items". They don't work.

Just tell me what Error Code 0xc1420121 means! Something must be causing it and if I knew I might be able to rectify it.

Windows 7 to windows 10 Upgrade Fails 30% error 0xC1420121

I have been going nuts trying to figure this out I have tried almost everything currently I have tried upgrading from windows 7 to windows 10 to using the ISO from a USB stick which gets me the furthers I get to 30% and then there is a problem. Here is my
setuperr.log. There is not much on this error and I don't want to do a fresh install of windows 10 makes no sense if I should be able to upgrade. Can anyone help me please I have tried everything I could think of no Anti virus a clean boot no video drivers...
