Windows 10: service is getting stopped as soon as related devise gets plugged in

Hi, This is happening for specific finger print devise. It has one client service installed in my laptop and this service run ok but when I plug in devise in USB, service gets stopped with error in event as:


Faulting application name: sgirdsrv.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x5a2524b5
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 10.0.18362.387, time stamp: 0xa4208572


confirmed devise driver which is ok and also able to capture finger print in PC, only issue is with this client service.

My PC has windows 10 home 64 bit and this RD service minimum requirement as follow:

.NET framework 4.5 and above

IE 9 and above

windows 7 and above


I guess I'm good with all minimum requirement. Please help me trouble shoot the problem

My plug and play is still on running after 2.5 Hours

I would suggest you to stop the plug and play service and again start the service and check the status of this issue. Follow the steps below to stop the Plug and Play service.

• 
  Press Windows Key + R key
  
• 
  Type “Services.msc” and press Enter
  
• 
  Right click on Plug and Play and click on stop
  
• 
  Again start the service.

Printing stopped with November upgrade

I would suggest you check if the print spooler is running. Start/Stop print spooler service. Follow the steps below.

• 
  Press Windows key + R, type services.msc
  and press Enter.
  
• 
  From the list, locate Print Spooler service.
  
• 
  Double click on the service and select Stop.
  
• 
  Restart the computer, repeat step 1&2.
  
• 
  Double click on the service and check if the service is started.

LG plug and play portable DVD writer GP55EX70

I have Windows 10 system on ASUS laptop. When I insert plug and play LG DVD writer into USB port, I hear sound alert that a device is connected but do not get any pop up recognizing the new device or asking what software I want to use to open/play. Laptop
bottom screen tool bar does not show the new devise either. And when I want to eject, the Show Hidden Icons does not list the devise. The manufacturer, LG, states this is not a driver issue as devise has built in plug and play feature.

I moved devise to multiple USB ports on ASUS but same result. I plugged devise into another laptop and immediately get the pop up screen asking what software to open/play, and was able to play DVD.

I assume this is a Windows issue on my laptop. Does anyone have a suggestion for a fix?
