    White bright areas get darkened


    Title is a little unclear... Basically is I open an Explorer window that is for the most part white (thus bright to the eye) it gets dimmed down.

    I cannot explain this very well and I can't seem to find anything on the internet to help.

    I have my monitor to my RTX 2080 Ti but I don't think that is the problem and suppose has something to do with system settings.

    Can you help me? Thanks in advance.

    Automatic Screen brightness - too bright in a darkened room?

    HTC Mozart - seems like in a darkened room, the automatic brightness doesn't go low enough - it's particularly noticable when opening Mail, due to the white background.

    The light sensor is working, because the brightness does adjust ok for use in sunlight, etc.

    Anyone else seeing similar behaviour?

    How to change brightness steps in notification area


    I use the notification area to change the brightness of my screen (Toshiba U920T laptop). It has always been 4 steps of 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%. Does anyone know how to change these steps? I couldn't find anything relevant in the registry.

    Brightness Control not working in Windows 10

    Hi Ella,

    To adjust the brightness, see the steps below:

    • Go back to Power Options, and tick on the High performance.
    • See if you can adjust the brightness.

    If this not work, we highly suggest that you create an Administrator account, and re-do the steps above.

    Let us know how it goes.
