    How to "advanced" resize desktop icons?


    This has always annoyed me.

    I have one machine that runs one software suite(two desktop apps). I want them to be large icons. Usually one of the apps will scale on its own and the other will not resize, rather just the area to select it gets larger. Usually I load a custom icon for that one.

    However...

    I just built a backup machine with the same software needs and neither icon resize now(recycle bin does). I can load the custom icon for the one app, but the second app that normally scales on its own won't and I don't have a large icon for it.

    Why is this? Is there any way to scale an icon beyond the basic option? I know for a fact the icon will scale on my original machine, but it won't for the new one? This doesn't make sense.

    I found out how to resize desktop icons, see below ,

    To change the desktop icons take the steps below:

    · Right click on an empty area of the desktop

    · Select ‘View’



    From here we will have three options:

    · Large Icons

    · Medium Icons

    · Classic Icons



    When you select the options listed above the icons will change based on the size selected.

    Method 1:

    To change the desktop icons take the steps below:

    · Right click on an empty area of the desktop

    · Select ‘View’

    From here we will have three options:

    · Large Icons

    · Medium Icons

    · Classic Icons

    Method 2:

    To resize the icons on Windows 10 follow the instructions provided below and check if it helps.

    • Press Windows logo key + I key.
    • Click on System.
    • In Display tab, increase the percentage or bar under change the size of text, apps and other items.
    • Click on Apply button.
