  1. CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED BSOD while I'm installing windows.


    I recently put together a system. It worked well for maybe 2 weeks before I started getting this message that says "CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED". Im now trying to reinstall windows but it now happens in the windows installation. Other points to note, I did stress test on my system using AIDA64. It said hardware failure about 2 min into the test. I didnt think much of it as the PC was being pushed hard to its limit.

    Parts list:

    CPU: Ryzen R5 3600

    Ram: Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200MHz DDR4

    Mobo: ASUS B450-F ROG Strix Gaming

    GPU: RX480 Gigabyte 8gb (old)

    PSU: Corsair RM750

    Storage: Samsung 970 evo Plus NVMe M.2

    Do I have parts that are incompatible perhaps? I looked everywhere about this error and can't find anything. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    In order to resolve your concern, we suggest that you to follow these steps:

    • If you've installed any new apps or devices, uninstall or unplug them and restart your PC.
    • Make sure your PC has the latest updates:
    • Go to the search box.
    • Type Windows Update then Enter.
    • Select Check for updates.
    • In the Settings menu, select Check for updates button.
    • When it's finished, restart your PC.

    BSOD Error: CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED

    My laptop experienced a BSOD with an analysis by "Who Crashed" as follows-

    On Sat 11/10/2018 2:08:03 PM your computer crashed or a problem was reported

    crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP

    This was probably caused by the following module: ntkrpamp.exe (nt!PsSetLegoNotifyRoutine+0x46C)

    Bugcheck code: 0xEF (0xFFFFFFFFA8C97440, 0x0, 0x0, 0x0)

    Error: CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED

    Bug check description: This indicates that a critical system process died.

    There is a possibility this problem was caused by a virus or other malware.

    A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: ntkrpamp.exe .
