Windows 10: Computer crashing

When I start my computer and launch either any game or an emulator, 5-10 minutes in both 1+hour been on or just turned on , my computer screen freezes with a slight buzzing noise and then the screen turns off. The backlit of my keyboard, lights on my mouse, and lights on the computer tower is still on but just the screen is dark. From there I need to hold the power button to shut everything off and boot everything up again. The weird thing is that after the boot up from my computer crashes, if I were to launch a game or an emulator, my computer doesn't crash anymore. This cycle happens every time from a so called "cold" start or whatever you may call it. I've tried updating the graphics driver but it still happens. This issue ONLY happens from launching a game or emulator, it does not happen if I were to browse the internet, video call, skype, etc. If you need any data on my computer, please give me instructions on how to get to it because I'm not sure how to get to it.

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

ive watch my temps and both the cpu and gpu are within normal ranges. when it freezes it simply freezes the image and stops the sound. i must reboot to get back to windows.

 

Desktop Computer Crashes

Hi Sumit,

My new HP desktop computer still crashes. I tried following the steps in the link above, How to do a Disk check of System drive in Windows 10 and interpret the logs - Your Windows Guide...

I am not able to complete or follow the task required to allow you to see what happened with the computer crash. I need an easier step such as a 1 2 3 or and a b c, to-do list in order for me to let you see my System logs.
