Windows 10: Black screen after login

Hello,

I have been experiencing a strange black screen after I login in Windows 10. It started yesterday morning.

Symptoms:
Laptop boots normally. I get to the login screen normally. I type the pin and I get the Welcome message. Instead of going to my desktop, I get a black screen with the cursor visible.
And now it gets really weird.
If I left-click anywhere on the screen, I get a beep that sounds like Default Beep, System Notification, Exclamation.
If I press CTRL+ALT+DEL, I get the blue screen with options to open Task Manager, I click on Task Manager but it returns to the black screen.
If I then press the Win key, it brings up the Start Menu and the task bar. On it I can see that Task Manager is opened. I hover my mouse on Task Manager on the task bar and it brings up that small preview. I then move the cursor to the preview window and suddenly I can see the desktop and the Task Manager window. But when I move the cursor away from that small preview, it goes black again. It does the same with any other program that I open from the Start Menu.
After 2.5 minutes, the desktop appears suddenly and all is normal.

I created a second user profile, it has no black screen.


I started in safe mode, no black screen.

I updated and went through 3-4 different video card drivers, no difference.

I tried a Win Repair, it said it couldn't find a problem.


On two occasions, when I restarted, it performed normally again.


Also, what I noticed - the laptop ran very hot at some point and the CPU activity was at 60-70% with no programs running. I also performed a malware scan that found nothing.


The last Windows update was on the 13th, and the problem started 4 days after that, I did not install any other software in this interval.
