Windows 10: Why slow responce when suspend a process

In order to make the machine faster, I tried to suspend the Box Sync process with PsSuspend command or Process Explorer.

But during suspending the process, the response of Windows becomes slow.


For example, clicking Explorer icon in Start menu, the Explorer starts immediately - ok so far.

But icons in the Explorer are all blank white.

And clicking the right mouse button on a file, the pointer starts spinning, and half a minute later appears the context menu.


Is this a proper behavior for my poor machine?


When setting priority and affinity as

wmic process where name="BoxSync.exe" CALL setpriority 64

PowerShell "$Process = Get-Process BoxSync ; $Process.ProcessorAffinity=8"

, Windows responds normally.

(Your specs unfortunately don't include your AV).

Processes in Task master marked as suspended

Have noticed this screen in the past and yes some of the items are currently marked as suspended.

There must be a correlation between this screen and the first screen 'Processes', it is here I keep seeing a leaf motive against a process and when you click on the line it opens and shows the word 'suspended'.

I have never noticed this leaf motive before and it concerned me as I had those two 'virus' attacks and wondered if there was a connection.

Do you know why these processes show as suspended? Who or why are they suspended?.

Having no other problems , other than internet can be a bit slow at times.

Sorry you can't follow those. I can only suggest them.

The main idea of the first is the impact of an AV

It therefore follows that you could consider which AV you are using.

In the second a solution found was

It therefore follows that you could consider trying that, if meaningful in your case.

Note the final para of that thread indicates that is game-related- i.e. not a Windows service.

Conclusion:
Both of these point to a 3rd party program being installed causing processes to be suspended.

It therefore follows that should you see if you have anything a bit unusual installed that is having the effect you are seeing.
