Windows 10: Windows 10 update files lost and worse to come

I updated my lap top PC windows 10 as requested by Microsoft, after my pc re-configered itself i tried to log in but every time the following error message displayed “ user profile service service failed the sign in user profile”. Eventually after switching my pc off and on pressing a few buttons i managed to get on to my home page but noticed that all my word docs and around 5000 photos taken over the last 10 years were missing.

i contacted the support centre and after a lot of trial and error by Wil he managed to get the files back, but at the same time we lost internet connection. When i tried to type in the search field to give him remote access again i could not as no keyboard was displayed. As we had been on 2 hrs we had to end the call. As i needed to complete some work on one of my docs i tried opening it but got an error message “something went wrong, could not start your program try repairing office from programes and features in the control panel error code 0x426-OxO.

i also found that my PC no longer recognises my USB ports so i cannot even copy my files. So at the moment i am left with a PC that cannot be connected to the internet, will not allow any docs to be copied to an external memory stick, cannot be shared with a microsoft tech, everthing on the bottom of the screen ie sound and search help field cannot be populated, cannot even close the pc down as when i click on the widows icon to shut my pc down i get nothing. I of couse can just switch it off.



you may ask so how am i putting this on here ?

via a 3 year old ipad. Iv not got a clue what to do next with my lap top.?

• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Files lost after Automatic Repair
