  1. It takes long for my camera to start in Windows Hello

I have an issue with Windows Hello because my camera is slowing down the initiating process. In other words, when my computer wakes up, it takes a while for a camera to start. The computer stops waiting for the camera and asks me to type in PIN. But I select Hello again and the camera starts working and everything is working okay

I use Intel RealSense F200 camera, PC with Intel 8th gen i5, Windows 10 Home

    :)

  2. windows hello cannot detect camera

    Hi,

We need to investigate further so that we can identify the cause of the issue. We suggest checking for driver updates for your camera and see if it helps. Follow the steps below:

    • Type Device Manager on Start/Cortana.
    • Click on Imaging devices.
    • Right click Integrated Camera or the name of your camera.
    • Select Update Software or Properties >
      Driver
      Update Driver.

    Looking forward to your response.

Windows Hello - wait longer for camera to start

    Hi Colin,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

The delay in camera recognition after sleep could be due to the power management settings configured. I suggest you try the steps listed below and check if it works.

    • Right click the Windows icon on the taskbar and choose
      Device Manager.
    • Expand Universal Serial Bus Controllers
and right click on the camera device (or the appropriate Generic USB Hub).
    • Click on Properties and go to the
      Power Management tab.
    • Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power
      and exit Device Manager.
    • Place the computer in sleep mode and reboot to see if the issue persists.

If the issue persists, you may want to install the latest driver for Intel® RealSense™ Camera
    F200
    and see if it helps.

    Regards,

It takes long for my camera to start in Windows Hello

Windows Hello Face Setup Could Not Open the Camera

I resolved my problem by updating the drivers for my camera. The steps I took were:

    • elect the Start button, typeDevice Manager,
    • When the list of results popped up I expanded the Imaging devices option, which showed the camera on my computer.
    • Right clicked on and selected update Driver.
    • Select Search automatically for updated driver software.

I restarted my computer. Windows Hello started and accessed the camera. I hope this helps.
