  1. How do I view verbose boot information?

On Windows 7 when I go into msconfig.exe and tick the "OS boot information" checkbox, Windows boots with a live list of the drivers as it loads, this doesn't seem to happen with Windows 10. I'm running Windows 10 1809.

    Enable verbose boot time information

    Hi,

For us to better assist you with your query about OS Boot Information on Windows 10, we'd like to know the following:

    • Which build and version of Windows are you running on your computer?
    • Have you tried checking Boot log instead of No GUI boot?

Note: Boot log is a log file which list every driver that has been loaded. After reboot the log file will be on
%SystemRoot%\ntbtlog.txt. Note that each time you reboot the computer the log is not overwritten, so it'll be good practice to disable this option after troubleshooting due to potentially long and big log file.

We're looking forward to your reply.

    Enable verbose boot time information

I have a system that is having long startup issues (pre log in screen). Once it gets there, it's fine so im thinking it's having trouble initializing something. In Windows 7 and earlier, I could enable OS Boot Information in msconfig to get a live display
of what was happening during startup. This option does nothing on Windows 10. I still get a Windows logo and spinning dot circle. If I add in No GUI Boot, it just gets rid of the circle, the logo remains. Does anyone know how to get that information in real
time? Similar to what you get when you boot to safe mode?

    Hi IrBlueSky

What boot information do you want to view, do you want a list of items starting with Windows or do you want a log of Windows booting?
