  1. Desperately needing help on windows 10 issue. Microsoft support has been zero help

I've been trying and trying for ages to find a way to properly describe the issue so I can even get tech support to understand well enough to assist me.

Every website, on every browser, and I mean EVERY. DAMN. WEBSITE. has the problem of loading everything just fine until i come to login to my account for that site. The login page loads just fine but when I put in my username and password it doesn't load, nearly instantly.

I get the error message on Edge

    INET_E_DOWNLOAD_FAILURE

I can't send a support ticket out because I can't login to my account for that either and I can't update my version of Windows because of some unknown error that wont give me a code either.

Has anyone else had this issue? I've done a reset on the computer already after trying a couple proposed solutions. Everything works just fine for my Android which is on the same network.

  3. i need desperate help with apps

    Hi Steven,

Thank you for using Windows 10.

We regret for the inconvenience caused. I suggest you to run the App troubleshooter and check if that helps:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/run-the-troubleshooter-for-windows-apps

If it doesn't help, then follow the below mentioned steps and check:

    • Open the Task manager. Here’s a tip: Press CTRL+Shift+ESC.
    • Click File > Run New Task
    • Make sure you have a check mark beside “Create this task with administrative privileges”
    • Type CMD
    • Type the following 4 commands at the CMD prompt:

      dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

      sfc /scannow

      powershell

      Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
    • Close the CMD window
Check to see if the issue is resolved. If not, restart the PC.

Keep us posted on the status of the issue and we’ll be glad to help.

  4. Desperately needing help on windows 10 issue. Microsoft support has been zero help

    desperately need help

    Hi Debra,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community.

We also thank you for your interest in Windows 10.

What issues are you facing after upgrading to Windows 10?

Which option did you chose while upgrading to Windows 10, keep files or keep nothing?

Did you check the files and documents in Windows.old folder?

Did you create a backup of the data?

When you upgrade to Windows 10, the previous Windows files and folders are automatically stored in
C:\Windows.old folder. This folder is kept by Windows only for one month. After one month Windows 10 will automatically delete the folder. So you can restore previous Windows version only within one month after Windows 10 upgrade. Also if you
run Disk Cleanup in Windows 10, make sure to uncheck "Previous Windows installation(s)" option. If you don't uncheck it, Windows will delete all files and folders present in
C:\Windows.old folder and you'll be unable to rollback to previous version of Windows.

Let's try to search the files and folders using Cortana
    and Windows Explorer search.

    Method 1: Using Cortana

Step 1: Press Windows key on the keyboard.

    Step 2: Type Cortana.

Step 3: Open Cortana and search settings.

    Step 4: Follow the wizard.

If the issue still persist, follow the method below.

    Method 2: Using Windows explorer

Step 1: Press Windows + E on the keyboard

Step 2: Double click on OS (CDesperately needing help on windows 10 issue. Microsoft support has been zero help :).

    Step 3: Locate Windows.old
    folder.

Instead of clicking on windows.old, just click on the
    users
file in the current version. It contains all the files and documents of previous Windows.

Refer to the suggestion given by Andre Da Costa from the link below:

    Hope this helps!

Get back to us if you have queries regarding Windows, we will be happy to help you.

    Thank you,
