Windows 10: 9 sub tasks for microsoft edge

Im having issues with mouse lag on my computer that resolves when I close Microsoft edge. I suspect its due to 9 different subtasks that are running within the browser for no reason. Is there a way I can fix this issue?


I have windows 10 and has already been updated to the current version.

I would suggest you to try restarting Microsoft Edge Browser and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

• 
  Open task manager right click on Microsoft Edge and go to details click on microsoftedgeCP.exe and click end task
  
• 
  Restart your Computer and check if it helps.

I would suggest you to refer to the below steps and check if it helps:

  Click on Start Menu which is on bottom left corner on the screen.
  
• 
  And then click on All Apps.
  
• 
  From the list select Microsoft Edge and
  Right click on Microsoft Edge.
  
• 
  And Click on pin to taskbar.

We suggest that you open Microsoft Edge via Run just to verify if Microsoft Edge is installed in the PC. If it comes up, pin it to the taskbar.

To open Microsoft Edge via Run, see steps below:

• Open Run by pressing the Windows key + R.
• In the text field, type microsoft-edge: and then click
  OK.
