  1. Second day in a row my computer crashes EventID 1001

    Hello,

    Hope I can get some help understanding the problem and fixing it. The system has crashed on me a couple of times and gave me the following in Event Viewer - System:

    -<Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event">
    -<System>
    <Provider Name="Microsoft-Windows-WER-SystemErrorReporting" Guid="{ABCE23E7-DE45-4366-8631-84FA6C525952}" EventSourceName="BugCheck" />
    <EventID Qualifiers="16384">1001</EventID>

    <TimeCreatedSystemTime="2020-03-30T02:58:26.389289800Z" />
    <EventRecordID>26106</EventRecordID>

    </System>

    <Data Name="param3">2843c03f-6ffc-41b1-a6a1-617631518381</Data>
    </EventData>

    </Event>

    Can someone provide me with information on why this is happening?

    Thanks

    Walter

    :)

  2. Windows 10 Apps Crashing (Facebook, Mail, Weather, etc.)

    Is there a 1001 eventID close to this one? The one you listed doesn't help me much.

    Here are the instructions from earlier in the thread:

    Launch one of the crashing apps; after it crashes, do the following:

    1) click on Start button

    2) type "Event Viewer"

    3) click on it to launch the desktop app

    4) expand "Windows Logs"

    5) click on "Application"

    Look for a "Information" level entry (EventID = 1001) that should be close to the top of the list that is already sorted by date and time. You should see an event with the following:

    Fault bucket #####, type 5

    Event Name: MoAppCrash

    The Event Name might also be MoAppHang.

    Grab the actual # that is listed. If that is empty, look for the next "information" entry.

  3. the top row is not working

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    To better understand your query, please reply:

    1. What do you mean by "top row not working" not working? Are you referring to keyboard top row keys?

    I would suggest you to go to the safe mode and see if the problem persists.

    To go to Safe mode follow the steps below:

    • Click on Windows key, and in the Power Options click on Restart while pressing the shift key.

    • A blue screen will appear with a few options.

      Click on Troubleshoot > Advanced Settings > Startup Settings > Restart.

    • Your system will automatically restart, press 4 or F4 key to go to the Safe Mode.
    Awaiting your response.

    Regards,

    Second day in a row my computer crashes EventID 1001

    all games crash!

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
    Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
    If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

    P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
    Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
    What X1800XT model do you own exactly?
