Windows 10: WIN10 password fogotten

I have a newer win 10 PC. I decided to run the repair option due to a malfunctioning application. I set the machine to boot up in safe-mode. When I restarted safe-mode asks for my password. Unfortunately I have been using my PIN since I first set up the machine. I do not remember my original password and safe-mode does not accept my PIN. I want to set the PC so that it will boot up in normal mode so I can use my PIN. It appears that to do this I must run msconfig but I can't because I cannot login. I do not have a password reset disc. How to I go about restoring access to my WIN10 PC ??

Win10 HomeGroup Password and Set Up Issues

Thank you for getting back to me. Unfortunately the troubleshooter did not find any issues. HomeGroup from start to Finish (been there), Step One bottoms out at HomeGroup >
Tap or click Create. I don't have a 'create' option, only a 'join' option...and 'join' wants a password. Since I did not set up a HomeGroup when I installed Win10 (apparently Win10 does it automatically), I do not have a password to join the
existing HomeGroup, therefore stuck. Open to additional suggestions. Thanks.

 

Admin password unknown and missing files after upload


Ok, I know these questions have been asked, but I have tried everything I can understand.
Need to be spoken like a noob - step by step please.
Win10 put on my system everything initially fine, then discovered files missing - tried to install a recover program to be frustrated by a prompt to input an admin password with User [USER-PC\USER]
I have tried every password ever used.
I have tried going to cmd prompt
I cant install anything to circumnavigate because I cant get past this dialogue.

any suggests?
