  1. Possible Power Supply Problem

    Hello,

I recently made another post about my computer randomly crashing all new parts.

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-performance/random-reboots-no-blue-screen/4659f408-a995-4d9d-85e5-025b19f93c5b?tm=1585521278241&page=1&rtAction=1585586742672

I have come to the decision that it is most likely power supply related. My specs are:

    Operating System
    Windows 10 Home 64-bit
    CPU
    AMD Ryzen 5 3600
    RAM
    16.0GB g skill trident 3200
    Motherboard
    Micro-Star International Co. Ltd. B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC MS-7B85 AM4 29 °C
    Graphics
    MSI MAG321CQR 2560x1440@144Hz
8176MB ATI AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT C.P. Technology Powercolor Red Devil
    Storage
    931GB Western Digital WDC WD10EADS-00M2B0 SATA 23 °C
    931GB Crucial CT1000P1SSD8 Unknown SSD

    Power Supply

    CORSAIR RM 750x 80plus gold

    Optical Drives
    No optical disk drives detected
    Audio
    Realtek High Definition Audio

My question is: Could it be that my power supply isn't strong enough, or is it most likely defective? Is there an easy way to test this theory?

    Thank you

    :)

  3. IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal whenever I dis/connect the power supply

    Hi Mikky,

To get better clarity on the issue, kindly answer the questions below:

    • Have you installed any software or programs on your computer prior to this issue?
    • What was the last thing you have done on your computer before this issue happened?
Since this issue occurs every time you connect or disconnect the computer to the power supply, we suggest you run the Power troubleshooter. To do this, follow the steps below:

    • On the Start menu, type Troubleshooting.
    • On the left-side, click View all.
    • Select Power and run the troubleshooter.
If the issue persists, then probably the issue is with a faulty driver. Kindly installed the latest chipset driver for your computer. For better assistance on installing the right driver, we suggest you to contact your PC manufacturer.

Should you need further assistance, feel free to get back to us.

    Possible Power Supply Problem

I need advice for power supply .....

I would suggest looking through this list its quite extensive but the lemon list is far from complete I would bet I,ve used antec, corsair evga, seasonic and I refuse to cheap out on a power supply.. I figure and rightly so If I.m spending some serious money on hardware last place I" skimping on is a power supply A bad supply or cheaply made unit can cost you way more once it fails then it would have if you bought a decent one in the beginning.. Do NOT skimp on power supplys

    Johnny Lucky Power Supply Recommendation

Great thing is he;s tested tons of power supplys and links are included for almost everything on his lists
