Windows 10: task bar settings

I would like to know if there's a way to hide my taskbar completely? Currently I have the taskbar hidden, it reveals itself when I move my mouse to the bottom of the screen. However more often than not I do this accidentally while trying to do something near the bottom of the screen, and it's pretty inconvenient. I would prefer to be able to hide it completely, unable to be opened by moving the mouse near it. Only to be opened when I press the windows key which is a much more deliberate and unmistakable act. So far I have been unsuccessful in finding a solution to this problem, so I decided to see if i could find help here. Any help would be appreciated thanks :

Cannot modify Task Bar settings

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if the issue persists.

• Right click on the Task Bar.
• Uncheck the option " Lock the Taskbar."

how to successfully pin files to the task bar

I use to be able to drag and drop files onto the task bar and they would reside withing the file list for that program. Since the recent upgrade it appears that I am not able to pin a file to the program on the task bar. Suggestions?
