  2. 4K and 1080p monitors

    Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding the different resolutions of computer screens. I have laptop with a 4K display and I have a 1080p monitor. Most applications that I use tend to scale correctly when I drag them across displays. However some applications like IDLE
or Corsair UE don't tend to change their resolutions. They tend to stay the same when dragged to another display, so if it started on the 1080p screen it would go to really small and stay small on the 4k display and if I drag it from the 4k to the 1080p display
the application is massive and can't be viewed. Is there any possible shortcut which can be used to "refresh" the application without quitting and re-opening?

    Thanks in advance,

    .

  3. 1080p Laptop Sceen to 4K Monitor

    Hi All,

I recently updated to a 4K Monitor which i have attached as a second display to my Alienware 1080P Laptop.

I have noticed at first setup that the 4K monitor has everything so small due to its DPI advantage but its unreadable.

If i change the resolution to 125% .. 150% the screen becomes blurry.

If i change the main display to my Monitor it becomes crystal clear at 150% but my laptop screen becomes blurry and zoomed in.

    any help would be great.

    Thanks

Can you lower the screen resolution from 4k to 1080p on a laptop?

Beeing forcedto play in 4k while windows and in game options are all 1080p or even lower resolution. Laptop

So I have a Sell Insipron 15 5000 gaming 4gb 1050 graphics card i7 - 77002.8 Ghtz and 16 gigs ram. Every game I am launching and I have contacted these game developers and contact support and they are telling me it is either the tv or the laptop the laptop
is brand new the tv is brand new and no damages have ever been done to either both work amazing il load my xbox one and set it to 1080p I have it at 1080 allways no issues but for pc and only my laptop my desktop no issues but my laptop when I plug in my hdmi
to the tv and il load up the computer it opens up at 1080p resolution shows that on my tv then I click any game in my library it forces the game into a 4k resolution basically taking my game and giving it a 1080p details in game but I have a 4k border and
this is almost every game older games that do not have 4k as an option will launch on the highest resolution the game offers even fi I have it set lower but idk what it could be if its an nividia setting or an intel graphics setting but this has to be the
craziest thing ever I thought it was with just one game but I went to plug my laptop in the other day to play call fo duty ww2 campaign on my controller and tv but apparently could only run the game at 4k and its an issue with the second display its running
my game 60 fps everything the way its set up on my laptop screen but when I close the screen and put it to the tv display the games are all screwy horrible frames its hard to play anything but ive seeked help from a lot of sources so many game companies and
they've al tol me contact dell or Microsoft at this point so hopefully its not a windows problem with laptops and a second display but I use windows 10 home edition and would just like to get my frames on my tv otherwise il just return the tv if I cant use
it the way I should be able to use it I have a desktop runs on the displayed issue no problem and its widows 10 but it doesn't work through 2 displays a laptop screen and a tv the tv is its display so it just works I guess idk but laptop is not having it and
this laptops a beast it should be more than capable to stay in the 1080p resolution format on every single game rather than it force upscale to 4k ive never seen anything say nope your setting don't apply you have to play these games on 4k with this device
period end of story so pleae help me out I know this isn't the case but it feels like it if so il be returning both laptop and tv because this should not be an issue and I don't buy things that just need to create problems I love pc I love supporting pc but
this is brutal to long ive said one day il message Microsofabout it so here I am finally messaging u guys this issue but mainly for the point that not just me but people have protable gaming machines they can take to a buddies ouse so when we set em up on
our 4k tvs and its like the hole night were spending either palying scplit screen because we cant figure out the 4k issue and were not going out to buy 1080p tv and spendmore money when u should be able to run 1080 on a 4k and it not go nope no more 1080 here
4k forcing it u alt tab change the windows setting go in game change the in game settings apply everything 5 million times and everytime u click the game and open it its auto re scaling the screen to 4k and my tv tells me I'm in a 4k res out of nowhere once
the games boot so please help me on this id had to return all of this was a good 2 grand spent id like to enjoy it.
