Windows 10: Computer Speakers Auto-Starting Paused Music After Bluetooth Auto-Shutoff

I have a question about an odd setting for a computer auto starting playing audio when the linked Bluetooth speaker shuts off. I can't seem to find anyone addressing this specific inquiry.


I have a Bose SoundLink Mini paired with a Dell XPS laptop running Windows 10. If I have music paused that was being played through the Bluetooth speaker, after some time the Bluetooth speaker will auto shutoff which makes sense, but right when it does the computer speakers will auto start playing the paused music. So for example if I pause music being played through the Bluetooth, leave the room and come back 30 minutes later, it will be auto started and playing through the computer speakers.

I'd like to be able to stop the computer from auto playing paused audio if possible, but haven't found where that setting can be changed. Any advice?

Windows 10 computer paired w/ bluetooth speaker, but doesn't send music to speaker

A possible solution to Bluetooth speaker playback issue I tried all the steps listed in several posting forums with no success. I finally found a solution after 3 hours of investigating. 1st several forums suggest updating drivers... but do not specify which drivers to update i.e. the Bluetooth device? (eg. bose audio, sony driver for sony Bluetooth headphones etc.), or the windows driver?

*** For me the solution was updating the Bluetooth driver from LENOVO's website (the laptop/computer manufacture's website) once the driver was installed the bluetooth playback through BOSE Bluetooth audio adaptor worked perfectly.

I understand not everyone will have a LENOVO laptop/computer however I think it is worth downloading the latest Bluetooth driver from the device you are streaming from.

Auto Start

Does anyone know of a free program that can start your computer??? All I can find is "Auto Power-on & Shut-down" but you have to pay.

 

bluetooth auto play

I love the Bluetooth auto resume with my windows phone. I use this in my car a ton. I have an annoying behavior with Bluetooth playback on WP7 mango however; here is my repro;

1- Start listening to podcast on wp7 hooked up to Bluetooth on my car.

2- Turn the car off. Audio playback stops fine.

3- 5 seconds later, the audio playback starts all by itself again. I have to pause the payback manually on the phone.

4- In the paused state, I get back in my car and start my car, phone picks up correctly and resumes correctly from where I left off.

The issue is step #3 and I cannot figure out what is triggering this behavior. I was expecting #1, #2 and #4. Is there a way to change this behavior?
