  1. Since Windows 10 Update KB4512941 My CPU runs at 100% for no reason!

Every since I installed the Windows 10 Update KB4512941 my computer, randomly, forces my CPU to run at 100%. This is now damaging my Alienware Aurora R7, in that when it happens, while playing games like WoW, it is creating a damaging sound like shorting out my sound card.

I have overlooked this, so far, but as I have stated, it now appears this update problem may be causing damage to my gaming rig. This is unacceptable.

    :)

Windows Search Error Win10 update (KB4512941)

From what I got as feedback KB4512941 seems to disable the GPOs. Beside to the other article linked above, I've created another blog post.

Windows 10 V1903: High CPU load from
Cortana, Search broken, blame August 2019 Updates

I've mentioned some workarounds within my blog post. I will escalate this thread to Microsoft's moderators - hopefully they forward it to the developers. We have at least now 3 known issue:

    1. Windows Desktop search won't work, if Bing-Search is disabled.
    2. The Search GPOs are now non functional (as reported above)
    3. Cortana causes a high CPU load (100 % on one core)

Windows 10 Search bar bugged after KB4512941 update

In addition to the previous poster - I've described the bug and workarounds since the update was released to Insider Previews.

    Windows 10 V1903: Updates KB4512941 and KB4515530

Windows 10 V1903 Update KB4512941: Workaround for the Cortana high CPU load issue

Windows 10 V1903: High CPU load from Cortana, Search broken, blame August 2019 Updates

But the best solution, if you don't depend on that update: Uninstall kb4512941 and avoid a reinstall (the update is optional, so no
    autoinstall is force).

BTW: I've escalated the bug to Microsoft moderators and asked to forward it to the developers.

    W10 update KB4512941

    Hi arejfour

KB4512941 is the latest Cumulative update for version 1903 of Windows 10, which was just released yesterday, it should not be optional, it is a standard Cumulative update . . .

Yes, you should apply that update, here is a list of the improvements and fixes in that update:
