Windows 10: Windows 10 DLL Error

I recently started having issues with my computer trying to connect to the internet and perform other basic functions. I’m receiving an error that states, “C:\WINDOWS\system32\mswsock.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or software vendor for support. Error status 0xc0000020.” The error window is called AppleMobileDeviceProcess.exe - Bad Image. I don’t tinker around in my system’s files at all, so for this issue to happen out of nowhere despite my computer working just fine a few days ago has come as a shock.

As it currently stands, my computer cannot go online despite other devices in the household being able to connect with zero issue. Even with an ethernet cable, there’s still no recognition of networks. I can still search through my files and access Windows Powershell, and I’ve done multiple unsuccessful scans of my computer through Powershell to try and fix the issue. I’m debating on transferring all my data and doing a factory reset, but I’m worried the error may persist even after doing that.

Any guidance would be appreciated. I have nowhere to currently go to have my computer checked out, and due to taking online college courses, my computer is all the more vital these days. Thank you for any help given.

D3dx9_30.dll Not Found error in Ashes Cricket 2009

Important Note: Do not, under any circumstances, download the d3dx9_30.dll DLL file individually from any "DLL download site." There are a number of different reasons that downloading DLLs from these sites are never a good idea.

Note: If you've already downloaded d3dx9_30.dll from one of those DLL download sites, remove it from wherever you put it and continue with the following steps.

1. Restart your computer if you haven't yet done so.

The d3dx9_30.dll error might be a fluke or one-time issue and a simple restart could clear it up completely. It's unlikely this will fix the problem, but restarting is always a good first troubleshooting step.

2. Install the latest version of Microsoft DirectX 9. Chances are, upgrading to the latest version of DirectX 9 will fix the d3dx9_30.dll not found error.

Note: Microsoft often releases updates to DirectX 9 without updating the version number or letter so be sure to install the latest release even if your version is technically the same.

Note: Are you a Windows Vista user with DirectX 10? Your game or program may still need DirectX 9 files to run properly so give the installation a try. Don't worry, both versions of DirectX can be run side by side in Windows Vista.

3. Assuming the latest DirectX version from Microsoft doesn't fix the d3dx9_30.dll error you're receiving, look for a DirectX installation program on your game or application CD or DVD. Usually, if a game or other program utilizes DirectX, the software developers will include a copy of DirectX on the installation disc.

Sometimes, though not often, the DirectX version included on the disc is a better fit for the program than the latest version available online.

4. Uninstall the game or software program and then reinstall it again. Something may have happened to the files in the program that work with d3dx9_30.dll and a reinstall could do the trick.

5. Restore the d3dx9_30.dll file from the DirectX 9 software package. If the above troubleshooting steps haven't worked to solve your d3dx9_30.dll error, try extracting the d3dx9_30.dll individually from the DirectX 9 package.

6. Update the drivers for your video card. While it's not the most common solution, in some situations updating the drivers for the video card in your computer could correct this DirectX issue.

WMPlayer win32 error

Ok here's my problem... I try to use windows media player and I get blah blah blah, not a valid Win32 application error. So I try to install wmplayer 10 AND 11 and get the same errors on trying to install it... anyone know of a way to fix these errors??? I've been looking for hours now and can't seem to get a definitive answer *Confused

List the EXACT "blah, blah" you mention, here please... for ALL installation cases!

(Sound like a possible "DLL-Hell" issue, but "Windows File Protection" &/or "System File Protection" should have countered for this... no biggie, there's ways around that too!)

Windows 10,Run DLL error pop up

Hello - I am also have DLL issues with Windows 10. I get a rundll error when I try to go to settings.

The error says error running VVCE8/.../MSHTML - the parameter is incorrect.

I tried both suggestions listed above with no success. Any help appreciated....
