Windows 10: Windows 10 64 bit intall not working on new PC build.

I am new to all of this, and just completed my first PC build. When I use my windows 10 usb when booting, I receive the option for 64 bit or 32 bit. When I select the 64 bit, I get the attached error. I am able to boot with the 32 bit option, but have the hardware that supports 64.


My questions are:

- Is there an easy solution for this when in BIOS?

- if not do I need to install new drivers to my gpu older model before it will allow for the 64 bit version?

MSI Gaming GeForce GT 710 2GB GDRR3 64-bit HDCP Support DirectX 12

GPU-Z update loop (Windows 10 64-bit)

I don't have better steps - this is all, I have nothing to add.

Maybe it is worth noting issue was on Windows 10 Enterprise, build 14393.187, so maybe you should test on the same.
My other PCs have a different Windows 10 version - Pro, latest Insider Preview build from last week, and there is no such issue on those.
All are 64-bit edition of Windows 10.

This issue is not new. I have had same 1-2 years ago too, with older GPU-Z versions.

EDIT: And yes, I have Windows 10 UAC enabled and set to defaults. If you are using your Windows PCs with UAC off, you likely cannot reproduce this issue. *Smile

 

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?
