    PC Automatically shuts down between 11PM and 7AM every couple of mins, can't find source?


    This has been going on for over a year now, merely a month after i built this PC.i know a fair bit about computers but still got a long way to go.


    I don't know much, but i do know that i couldn't find any tasks in task scheduler, and that windows powercell also came up blank. Shutdown also cuts off all power, especially USB, which i use to charge various things.

    PC shutting down automatically

    Hi,



    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



    I understand that the PC is shutting down automatically when using.



    I would suggest you to run the powercfg
    command to generate the sleep diagnostic report to analyze the issue further. Kindly follow the steps to generate the report.



    1. Click on the Search Bar
      on the Taskbar and type CMD.
    2. Now right click on it and select
      Run as administrator.
    3. Type the following command and hit enter:
      powercfg /systemsleepdiagnostics


    I have sent a private message to you, once the report is generated please share it through private message.



    However, if you are connected to domain network there could be some group policies affecting this, I would suggest you to post your query on

    TechNet forums    , where we have expertise and support professionals who are well equipped with the knowledge to assist you with your query.
