Windows 10: No Directional Audio or Spatial sound on Windows

Recently I had updated Windows to the newest update and I noticed that my audio was a little flat. I tried playing games and I noticed that there is no Directional audio, For example when I hear a gunshot there is no way of knowing what direction it was from. I am a seriously competitive gamer legendary eagle master on cs And same with many other games so this is a huge issue to the point where I can't even play games knowing the sound is pretty much useless.


I tried for about 5 and a half hours straight trying to get this issue resolved, then I was with microsoft support for a couple hours and they gave me one last update before leaving the 'chat'. They left chat, I updated, and ofc still the same problem with nothing fixed. I have been on this for about 8 hours straight and I can't find any help or articles or anything to get this audio issue resolved. When I go to Headphone Properties and change my Spatial Sound, No matter what I change it to, it instantly reverts back to "Off". Also, this is for all of my sound devices. Anything I connect to has the same issue no matter what device I use for sound. If anyone is able to help me out with this issue that would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

The Spatial Sound feature is available in Windows 10 but by default, it has been disabled. To enable it, follow the steps below:

• In the notification area, right-click on the sound icon.
• In the context menu, click on Playback devices.
• Select your playback device and then click on Properties.
• Click on the Spatial sound tab.
• Select the Spatial sound format you want to apply.

I followed the instructions but when I got to #4 spatial sound said off and there was no other info or any way to turn it on. I hit return to default but that did nothing. Please help. my earphones are off .
