Very hot laptop and strange CPU behavior

    Hello,
I have an asus laptop that uses the Intel Core i7 4750HQ CPU never had any problems.

-I recently had a problem with the HD and decided to install a new SSD with a new Windows installation and install the old HDD simultaneously using a caddy.
-A few days later I decided to update to the new version of Windows 2004.

I begin to notice that when I turn on the laptop, without using heavy programs, the computer is very hot, with the fan working hard. I install the Core Temp program and see that the CPU is at 93C which is very strange when I'm just browsing the internet.

Then I go to the Task Manager and see that for a second the CPU was at 100% and immediately drops to 10% then 5% and stays at 3%. The temperature also drops to 40% and 43%. This happens whenever I go to Task Manager, since I can close the Task Manager everything is normalized.

This is very strange to me. What could it be?

    :)

    Laptop Battery Strange Behavior

Recently, I noticed a strange behavior in my laptop's battery.

Whenever it is plugged it shows 100% charge but when I unplugged it, it went down to 0 and then computer shut down.

I kept it unplugged and then restart the laptop. It started up despite all warnings about the critical battery level and even worked for over an hour before I plugged it again! After plugged it again, it charged up to 34%. Again, when it is plugged, it shows
100 and when unplugged shows 34.

I am not sure if it is a hardware problem (battery, laptop, etc.) or a Windows issue. I did everything suggested such as troubleshooting, uninstalling and installing the battery driver, SFC scan, chkdsk, etc. None of them worked.

It is a Dell Inspiron laptop (over 3 years old) working with Windows 10.

    Any idea would be appreciated.

    Sister's Laptop: Strange Behavior

The best thing to do is take off the bottom cover and blow out the fan and CPU. The only reason that the fan would kick in is either something locking up the CPU to 100% or full of dust and hair on the heat sink and fan. As for the speakers, yes speakers can go bad, they are not the best on laptops, but you can get the replacement units that go above the keyboard on that side if that is where they are and get the sound back to decent. Usually if speakers are crackly, they are blown or the unit was left in a hot environment and dried them out.

The laptop is seven years old. It is worth her just upgrading to a new one to replace that one. I would suggest that she gets one with either a M2 or SSD drive. If she hates 10, which some do, she can always go through HSN and pay payments on a Macbook Air. Her choice and not really worth dealing with what it will cost over keeping her laptop limping as other items go bad on it.
