  1. HDD not showing in Explorer

    Hello,

I have an old laptop that doesn't have Windows on it. I wanted to put Windows on it by making a Bootable USB, but that didn't work. Then I tried to put Windows on the HDD of my old laptop with a SATA / USB cable and I have a problem with this. My new laptop is not finding my HDD. He does indicate that my HDD is in my computer, Disk Manager also sees that it is in my laptop, I can also see how much storage my HDD has, but Explorer does not see that it is connected. I have already formatted my HDD to NTFS and to exFAT, but it is not working. My old HDD is 'Windows_PC C:' Here is a screenshot of Diskmanager and Explorer.

I don't know what to do anymore. Can someone help me? Thank you in advance.

    :)

HDD Shows in Devices But not in Explorer

I've got a zereoed HDD I want to format but formatting in win10 doesn't seem to be done by any disk handling prog I have found as yet.

I was told to right click on the drive in Explorer and pick format.

But the drive doesn't show in Explorer.

the system sees it alright. Device manager lists all the drives and there it is.

    What to do?

  4. HDD not showing in Explorer

HDD in a HDD caddy is not showing up in the disk management

    Hi,

To assist you better, I would like to ask some questions:

    • How are you connecting the HDD Caddy?
    • What is the make and model of your computer?

If you are connecting the device using USB, I suggest you to check if other USB devices are recognized as USB devices or Other device. If it is displaying as other device, then the issue might be with the USB port. So, I suggest you to update the USB drivers
    by following the steps below:

    • Press Windows key + X, select Device Manager.
    • Expand Universal Serial Bus Controller.
    • Right click on the drive, select Update Driver Software and follow the on-screen prompts.

Keep us posted on the status for further assistance.
