  1. win32kbase.sys and nvlddmkm.sys BSOD's

    Hello

I have, in the last week been getting both of these BSOD's and despite looking seemingly everywhere I can't fix them.

I have an old PC Quad core intel, ABIT IP35pro, 4gb corsair memory, Nvidia Geforce GTX 560ti

What i have done so far, all without success.

    sfc /scannow

    DISM.exe both

    Chkdsk

Safe mode uninstalled GFX and also used DDU to clear all nvidia drivers etc.

Tried to do a fresh install of windows 10 from an .iso disk and updated everything.

Tried to install an old copy of Win7 and then upgrade

Looked into the solution that is around for copying nvlddmkm.sys and expanding but that didn't work either.

I've tried to run memtest but cannot get my pc to boot from usb for some reason.

So, interestingly, my PC will load to safe mode regardless

If I install the latest nvidia drivers I get the win32base error. If I remove all nvidia drivers etc my pc will boot normally but obviously the display is terrible.

Given what I have tried to do so far, is it fair to assume my GFX is the issue? I appreciate my pc is very old and I don't mind replacing things but I don't wish to spend a fortune replacing something that isn't broken.

Any suggestions gratefully received and thanks in advance, if I need to give anymore info let me know.

    :)

My first suggestion would be to stop using Auslogics Registry Cleaner and Auslogics Registry Defrag,
It won't speed up your system and the risk of getting problems is pretty high
The registry doesn't need a defragmentation, simply because the registry is all over the place and always will be. What Auslogics states about, what I've read (about freeing memory space), is not true because it is not the registry that does it. The registry is only a place for your system that it knows where what is and let the program know what to do, but the program does the actual thing where the registry is the place for the where and what part.

Please remove / disable items from the startup in taskmanager
These programs could interfere with the boot process giving you trouble and increase the boot time.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

    1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
    2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
      • Double click the executable to open it
      • Click on the button shown below

    win32kbase.sys and nvlddmkm.sys BSOD's [IMG]

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

Please uninstall everything of Nvidia using Display Driver Uninstaller and install new drivers from Toshiba. Be sure the clean install box is checked and only install the Graphics driver and the PhysX driver.

  4. win32kbase.sys and nvlddmkm.sys BSOD's

    Nvlddmkm.sys BSOD on startup?

The problem is the laptop (specs in signature) not rig in system specs.

Sometimes when I switch it on, Vista loads normally.
Other times, just after the horizontal 'loading' bars and before the Vista orb appears, I get a BSOD of Nvlddmkm.sys or Nvlddmkm.dll then the laptop reboots, BSOD's, reboots... it can happen like 5 times!

I've been googling all morning but apparently there's no solution to this?

It does the BSOD only during startup. Once Vista loads, it never BSODs not even during a game.
