Windows 10: 2nd monitor and wireless mouse not working after Windows 10 update

Hi there, hope you guys can help

I'm running an HP desktop and currently have an MS wireless mouse and also a 2nd screen monitor setup, which was all working fine. I came into my office late a few nights ago and my pc was off, looked like a recent Windows 10 update which it had been asking for had taken place.

After restart my wireless mouse wouldn't work and my 2nd monitor wouldn't boot up, so currently have a wired mouse setup and no 2nd monitor, can only be down to this update I believe.

Can you please offer any advice or suggestions?

I'm reasonably PC literate but any advice in basic terms that I could try to help would be appreciated

Not working wireless mouse could be due to the following:

• Outdated device driver
• No device driver installed
• Faulty wireless mouse receiver

We would like to know some information to better isolate the issue:

• Have you done any changes (like updating your Windows) on your computer prior to the issue?
  
• Have you tried using using your wireless mouse on other computer and checked if the issue persists?
• Have you tried updating your wireless mouse driver?

Windows 10 Not Recognizing 2nd Monitor After Updates


Here's the Laptop I'm using, brand new:
HP - ENVY 17.3" Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce 940M - 1TB Hard Drive

I'm using a 2nd monitor that's worked since I've got them both a month ago brand new. I'm using HDMI to HDMI for input and after auto-updates, now nothing I can do will get it to recognize my 2nd monitor, which is this one:
Acer - 27" LED HD

Everything worked perfectly, now it's like I don't even have a 2nd monitor. Drivers are updated, I tried restarting. Nothing works. Any suggestions?

How do you get the mouse to work on 2nd monitor. Using windows 10 Pro. Thanks for any help.
