Windows 10: why does my laptop have 9 microsoft edge running when i check task manager i can delete a...

as the subject lines says I have 9 ms edges running at the same time, 1 uses the most usage but the others have lower numbers, ???? should i be concerned or look for a solution

Why is Edge running all of the time especially when I am using an other browser and why does it not show up in Programs under Task Manager?

Why is Edge running all of the time:

• when I am using an other browser
• when I have turned off all browsers
• Edge database appears to be recording everything other browsers are doing, but for what purpose?

Why does Edge not show up in Apps or Programs under Task Manager but it does under History?

Is the Edge program a secret App running from the moment Windows 10 is booted?

Why is F8 Safe Boot no longer an option?

I would like to see some non-BS type answers that will not be slanted toward making "users" into "you don't have a need to know Users".

Most importantly, considering the points above, why would any business, big or small, ever consider using Windows 10 or Microsoft Cloud? If you know the answers, please keep them short and easy to understand for users such as me.

 

Edge and Task Manager

I would suggest you to try restarting Microsoft Edge Browser and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

  Open task manager right click on Microsoft Edge and go to details click on microsoftedgeCP.exe and click end task
  
• 
  Restart your Computer and check if it helps.
